There are two types of Pipelines in Galaxy: sourcing pipelines and deal pipelines.
Sourcing pipelines track Companies through the various sourcing stages from entry into Galaxy, to contact, meetings, NDA, info received, etc. All the way to when a Company becomes an active deal (i.e. the opportunity is qualified).
Deal pipelines track Companies through the various deal stages from qualification to offer, LOI, diligence, etc.
Sourcing stage or deal stage can be set for any company by changing the field in the company profile page or by dragging and dropping the company on the Pipelines page.
If you require custom deal or sourcing stages, please contact us.
When you first open the Pipelines page you will be on the Deals tab which shows the deals pipelines. The deal pipeline view defaults to show the Acquisition opportunities by Deal Stage. To see the pipeline of Venture opportunities, select ‘Ventures’ from the drop down menu at the top of the page.
Each ‘card’ in the pipeline represents a deal and a Company. On the cards you will see the name of the Company, the latest recorded revenue for the Company (along with revenue type and revenue period - all from the Company Financials), the pipeline entry date and the deal owner.
To move deals between stages of the Pipeline, you can drag and drop the card on the Pipelines page or you can go to the Company profile and change the deal stage.
To remove a deal from a Pipeline entirely, click on the ‘x’ at the top right of the deal card. The Company and deal can be added back to the pipeline by changing the deal stage on the Company profile.
